The Music World of Ko Matsushita

Prof. Ko Matsushita is considered by many to be one of the most industrious Japanese composers and conductors of his era. At over 800 and growing, Ko's choral compositions span from works based on traditional Japanese music, masses, motets, contemporary pieces, choral orchestral works to etudes for choirs. His works are performed by choirs around the world, with lyrics exploring the beauty of nature, humanity, war and peace, and reminiscence after tragedies. 

Matsushita is currently the conductor and artistic director of 13 esteemed choirs in Japan, which regularly perform in Japan and internationally. Ko is an active workshop clinician, lecturer, and adjudicator of international choral competitions.
